    Ok, a little more info please. do you mean your post count, or the post number, or the posts count for the thread?

        have you noticed that the same post count number gets updated to your all previous posts as well?

        Edit: That is the reason why you can't see the difference when looking at the count numbers in a single thread.

              I guess I meant the post counter for the thread...which now has a different number(..my individual post number). Before it was 369 and now it is 370.

                You mean the number under your avatar picture by the word "posts"? It now says 371 That is the total number of posts you have made on MURC since Sept 1999. It always shows the CURRENT total, no matter how many you had made when you posted a particular post.

                  cc: It's been like that ever since we upgraded to vB. Indeed, even on UBB it was still the "Total number of user's posts" - it was just that the pages weren't dynamically created. UBB created static HTML files at the time of the last change to the thread. If you looked at a really old thread, it would still have all the old information until someone modified a post or added a new one.
