Yes, it could be, largly because my ISP decided my CC wasn't good enough for them, and forgot to tell me.

I use "cooking wi' gas" as well - it's not that uncommon over here.

My usage comes from a series of Adverts in South Australia by the local gas company, the tag line to the ads was always (now your) 'cooking with gas'

I dunno where it comes from here - just an expression that's been around for ages.

I don't remember when I heard it, but I've used it for a long long time. I really use it when things are finally working the way it should, but mostly I use it to bug my wife.
