  • Server awfully slow

I don't know why, but all day today, the server has been awfully slow (<2kB&sec), dropped connections quite a lot, etc.

Hope this is no sign of our new hoster's everyday performance

Anybody confirm/disprove? I've changed ISPs recently, so that may be it as well (though other sites are lightning fast)

    Seems fine to me
When you own your own business you only have to work half a day. You can do anything you want with the other twelve hours.

Fine again now here, too. Strange.

See this is what you get for using opera

Seriously though, it could have been anything in the pipe from Arizona to you.

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

I also noticed it last night and this morning, but it seems better for me now...

              Next time, try a traceroute:

              open a cmd-window, and enter

              tracert forums.murc.ws

It shows the computers you pass and the time it takes. Very handy to get
an idea of where a problem is (local, server or inbetween).

Yeah, you're right - I even did this a few times, but didn't think of it this time.
