1-I don't like that you have to click a quote to activate the quick reply box...seems like an unnecessary step.

2-The defaults for most of the forums seem to be only to list the threads that have been posted in today. Why not go back at least 3 days so we get a full page, and threads that aren't brand new get hits?

1- see this post, follow directions. http://forums.murc.ws/showthread.php...079#post527079

2- still tweaking things, I'll add it to the todolist. lots of forum defaults got reset in the upgrade.

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

Interesting... If you link to a post, you only get to see that post (not inside a thread).
Then, in the top right, there is a link that brings you to the thread; however, once there is quite difficult to find the post again (have to search manually) in that thread (and this could be useful te see to what it was a reply, for instance).

(I know this sounds a difficult explanation, but just give it a try, you'll see what I mean)

Can't the postnumber be added to that topright link?

I more want to give them time to play with threads to see if they want to keep them

OK, I'll give you a user's opinion: I don't care for threaded or hybrid view, it makes reading so much slower. Thus, I don't need or like the click-to-reply, too

Maybe we should make this a poll in a week or so, when everyone's had time to play?

That was my intention. But people do need time to play - I will also investigate to see if there are any hacks to make it forum based, atm its board based.

Most of our forums don't need it, but there are a few locations that it would be useful

One more thing: When in advanced reply mode I have finished typing my post, I hit TAB and expexct to be taken to the "post reply" button. Now, I have to hit tab twice, which is a little confusing because I only have to hit it once in quick reply - could this be changed somehow? That would be nice
