    is very nice!

    (I hope this construct isn't © Lizzy )

But it only works for the main page, not for the forums...

Yah, the forums should have their default VBB icon replaced with the MURC icon.

BTW, the new MURC logo with the [i]widescreen[i] "banderole" (?) is very nice (the whole layout)

I think I really like your style Jesse

Icon has been changed - you may need to clear your cache to see it.

I don't see the change but maybe I'm looking at the wrong place(s) (IE 6.0.2800).

I just cleared my cache for the first time on my relatively new HTPC (nine months old); 300 MB cleared out which isn't of much use on this machine but that used to be a noticeable amount not too long ago.

You may have to visit http://forums.murc.ws/ and do a hard refresh. Been awhile since I've used IE, so my memory is foggy in regards to how it handles this.

Actually, I even just did a brute force removal of all but my cookies (versus IE menu command) and I still don't see anything new.

P.S. IE aborted during that purge as I had a browser window open ... such wonderful coding.

Just to be sure, I re-purged without a browser window open and still no luck. Note that I also don't let ActiveX and Java/script run.

Strange; though, it wouldn't be an ActiveX or JS issue. Basically there is a file, favicon.ico, that the browser looks for. All I've done is replace the stock vBulletin one with our Murc one. You could try searching for the aforementioned file and deleting it.

I didn't expect it would be a plug-in problem but I thought it worth reminding you.

AFA, "favicon.ico" ... it's not anywhere on my machine.

I can't see a favicon either here on my friend's laptop with Opera 7.6 preview 1 (set to display both favicons and embedded icons - but of course since it's a preview, this might be a bug).

I can see it in Firefox and Opera 8 (Mac), but not in Safari. Are you just not able to see any icon az, or just the custom one?
