Ok people, its sorta that time again.

I have a few options to run with here...
I can either give you a paypal button that you can click and donate with - still sorting a sane alternative for the others of you that can't/won't use paypal.

and/or

VB3 has a nice little subscription function.
so the idea with subscriptions would be, as a reward for helping me pay for the server, I can automagically boost your perms for X amount of time - maybe more PM space, more upload space in the gallery etc etc. extra thread icons etc etc.
Not taking away any permissions or functions - although to be honest, I am looking at restricting upload in post total kb allowance, as the attachement table is getting err LARGE.

open too feedback/sugestions on this - of course I can also manually enter in subscriptions, and after I sort it out, all of you who donated with the fobs etc will get a little plus.

Anyhow, any of those options works for me. I'd just as soon use PayPal as the forum permissions don't affect me so much on usage as they might some others who use PM's more or such.

Difficult to manage.
However I have a range of extentions I can add into the gallery which would perform a similar function.

I don't think many people (if any) have had any major issues with what you have thought of in the past for this sort of stuff.

If/When you need us to "pony up" the $$$ to help out as they say (if that's the option that gets settled on), just let us know and i'm sure there will be plenty of us willing to help out as before...

Paypal works for me too (esp. now that I don't have to register to donate). Having a paypal button (MURC Server fund, it was such a nice icon) would facilitate things.

Additional perms could be a nice gesture (but I can't think of additional stuff I'd use - apart from perhaps a bigger PM box)...

I'm able to donate a bit, similar to last year. I'd like a perk for that though: 5 fora of my choosing get a header advertising members to join our team for CPDN

Now there's an interesting idea... member-supplied advertising. Donate a certain amount and get x-amount of time/space for an ad of your choosing (within reason of course). Less obtrusive than advertising from an outside source as it's coming from one of our own.

I can see some issues, but still, interesting.

I didn't even realize that you have already removed this button before reading this thread... What's the reason for doing this?

Maybe a "Faithful MURCer" status to those who donate?
