If the look on the official E3 site, Matrox IS in fact listed...

fact of the matter is, that a product people are waiting for is usually announced after the majority of those people got depressed and bought another product, so all we gotta do is to wait till enought murcers get a radeon/gf/kyro etc...
so i would appreciate it if those of you who can afford it get a new card now, so i can get a g550/g800/gXXX or whatever at the end of the summer

Yes, I know new MAX's are heavily overpriced, but I could get a used one for the same price as G450 costs.
Hey, maybe you and I could... you know... [SLAP] Agh!

Why would the next video card have limited availability? Remember, the Max was built with fast binned processors (done during wafer sort or final test) which have much lower yields than a standard part. On the other hand, Matrox may come out with a "Max" version of the next card which then will probably be subject to similar availability limitations as the G400 Max.

lol.. if you are expecting to be able to _buy_ a G550 or whatver by the end of the summer, I think you're smoking something.
By the time Matrox actually announces the card, it'll probably be the end of June. Then of course you won't actually be able to buy one for a couple months since it'll all be going to OEMs.. remember how impossible it was to get a MAX for almost 4 months after it was 'released'?

Oh, villerk: Don't waste your money on a MAX.. they're pretty hard to find now, and quite overpriced. I can't in good faith reccomend a Matrox card to anyone who wants to use it for any gaming. If its only for work or dual head stuff, yeah.
