If it´s an enginge for completely redesigned graphics our current software will be rendered useless.

Nah, I think they should go for Ophelia and Render Subject Nude.

Believe me the codenames are not meant to mean anything.

Don`t believe this guy! His nick is Dragon[MU]. So he`s obviously lying. I think we`re getting close to something with the meaning of Parhelia. He is just trying to discourage us from getting to the truth by giving us false info.

Sundogs - mock suns or parhelia

Sundogs, also known as mock suns or "parhelia", are a pair of brightly colored spots, one on either side of the sun.

Well, so maybe that's where Parhelia comes from. Just part of the Matrox logo I guess.

Coinciding with rubank's post up there, Parhelia might be nothing more than an expensive name for the dualhead engine
Not meaning spots next to the sun, but meaning at least 2 monitors being attached

Did the G400 engine have a name?

                      Jord,

I think the G400 code name was Toucan or something along those lines. I remember before the forums got wiped out that some listed all the names that Matrox products had. It was under one of the G800 postings or something.
