So the question now is what will Matrox Call their new card....
Can't have two G800s running around now can we? Only thing I can say is that we would have been REALLY REALLY Dissapointed if this was the real deal G800

Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

Forget the G800. Matrox is launching something which isn't based on G-series. (neither Bitboys chip. if my sources are right.)

      IT IS BRAND NEW!

I just want a G400 with the same capabilities as a GF3 and a Radeon 8500...then I am truly happy.

The battle for 2d graphics king is now beginning

                    "Quote"

'Basically Matrox decided to be kings of 2D, not 3D. Which appears to be a lot more profitable in the long haul, given what happened to a previous king of 3D...'

Take a look at the new SIS graphic chipset. The card is equipped with a very fast "GDI+" accellerator engine, super3d and 20 m/bits dvd decoder.

Now Matrox must compete in different graphic sectors. Not olny 3d.

If someone have any interesting quetions to post, i'll try to ask something at the Matrox Stand in MILAN during the SMAU.

                    Ciao a tutti.

The previous king of 3D also had decent 2D. The 2D capabilities of a voodoo where far better than those of Nvidia.
Now ATI is becoming the king of 3D, a few years ago they where only making cards for the OEM market.
