It seems to me that Iiyama monitors have the best bang for the buck, but many members of the fori has got cornerstone monitors and they seem to be very happy with them.

I have a Iiyama VM pro 451 and I am very happy.

I have a Conerstone 1025c which was their lower end business model, which they don't carry anymore because of price drops in their professional models, and it is a very good monitor.

why on earth did you move this thread? that was silly. i started it with the premise of speculating how it should have been matrox's next card. SPECULATING. sounds to me like it should be here...

sorry, didnt mean to scare anyone, i was just kidding, because i noticed that people were talking about monitors, and not matrox future products, maybe i should have made that clear with adding a wink or two, oops

              No offense meant to anyone

edit: i made a really embarrasing spelling mistake ("too" instead of "two" and fixed it )

I did read once that Ramdacs are important for more than just pushing refresh rates..

Something with half the frequency setting equals a "max" possible quality. So a high ramdac isnt the same as a high quality, but it allows a high quality..

Pls feel free to correct me. Its been more than a year since I read that article..

=> Oh and if people are on a tight budget, deksspace wise, i highly recommend the Samsung Syncmaster 900sl+ Its a short neck version - its more shallow than my antiquated 17". Nice high refreshrates, clear and bright pictures, flat screen. And a rather big 19" at that.
