    exactly!
nobody needs 400fps, but most people(including me) wants pretty fsaa and anisotropic filtering at a decent speed and at a decent resolution.
This sig is a shameless atempt to make my post look bigger.

No, I hope they announce it soon so i can start saving for it.
It is true that you don't bite the hand that feeds you.

However, Haig hasn't impressed me as someone to BS people. He let us know through the Desktop video forum that MJPEG wouldn't be included in the G450 eTV, he let us know MJPEG was going to be dropped permanently, he tells us when driver development for a line will end for a given OS, and was quite succinct in telling us previously that Gx50 cards were for corporate not game users.

Or at least, that is my recollection.

                  Hi gang,

yes I did delete most of my posts mainly becuase there have been accusations coming from competitor's sites that I enjoy
                  torturing our clients.

Maybe I'm over reacting but if they included a smiley at the end of the accusation, it would have been ok.

                  Haig

Haig - I don`t think the nVido.. erm I mean nVidia user said that seriously. But it`s o.k. as a matter of prevention. We know what we need to know and we know how you meant what you said.

I participate in the nVNews forums too, and I can honestly say that at least that one nVidia site (the best one, imo) isn't so anti-matrox (I still see several posts from former Matrox owners, and nearly all acknowledge the 2D / image quality crown..)

And I haven't personally gotten mad at anything you've said, Haig (well, not because you said something untrue or misleading. It has been a bit irritating not being able to get extra info or finding out that the next card I personally really want has taken more than 2 years..)

                      "..so much for subtlety.."

                      System specs:
                      Gainward Ti4600
                      AMD Athlon XP2100+ (o.c. to 1845MHz)

I know it can be irritating but this is how we do things.

MK - I know the editor wasn't serious but the majority of the readers on that site don't know me.

Hey Clevor, where abouts in Japan are you and where do you get that rebate from???

                              Sasq:

I'm in Yokosuka, about 12 miles from Yokohama.

It's not a rebate or trade-in actually, but if you're in Yokohama, you know you can sell used computer stuff at SoftMap. They'll pay you a fixed fee, no questions asked, but they do test the stuff before they buy it.

Obviously, I can get a good price on my Asus 8200-T5 Deluxe, or retail ATI 8500 now, or until the next generation cards come out. I bought my 8500 for $238 from Newegg, and it's selling for around $240 used now, so SoftMap would probably give me $190-200 for it.

I recently got rid of a Voodoo4 PCI and they gave me 8000 yen for it, more than what it's going for new in the States. I could even sell my yuckie A7V motherboard and get maybe $20 for it. It's worthless in the States now.
