So far we have two third world countries and a coven of lesbian witches that have offered to take him.

          Thanks KeiFront!
I got a bit confused by Tempest : "(USA, Finland, Matrox... I don't care. Haig for president )"

          Ant:
Rats, we'll lose him to the latter...

            I too voted yes.

Don't know if he has any experience running a company, but then again, doesn't seem as though it could hurt the current situation.

He is, after all, the only person at Matrox of late who seems willing to interface externally with the Matrox user base, much less the rest of the computing world.

Moreover, he is willing to speak his mind, insomuch as he is allowed by propriety and legality, or so it seems.

I really respect him for what seemed to be his disdain for the companies decision to drop MJPEG support unilaterally. I don't wish to put words in his mouth, but that was how I interpreted his posts on the subject over at the MGA forums.

Not only that, he created a separate thread on those forums for people to spout off about the decision. Most of those people (including my self) were very upset and even a little irrational, and his move helped prevent those posts from populating the rest of the forum. It was, in my opinion a classy, if not savvy, move.

            $0.02.

I'm sure we asked Haig to go higher up the company when we drank him under the table ...errr... had a meeting with him at CeBit, and he said that he doesn't want to go any higher than where he is now - he likes his position now and doesn't want to spoil anything.

I just meant to say that although I'm not really confident as to WHAT president we're electing here, I give my vote to Haig because he appears to be a decent person =)

Hey, you know what? The statistics on the forum mainpage say that MURC has 30,000 threads now

Even better, he's able to keep a secret while still titillating his end-users with hints about the future hardware.

1 of the votes was mine

Haig is too good to be president. Good guys are not good presidents.
