I will wait for the new one. I always had a Matrox card in my computer, but stupid I was to buy a GF2MX. The 2D qual. really sucks at high res. and high refresh rates.

So my next card is Matrox again and it ain't gonna be a G550. I am saving up all my euro's to buy one. Hope they also gonna announce some portable chip so my next laptop also is suitted with a matrox chip.

Remember now, since graphics chips are getting more complicated to build, needing several revisions before the chips themselves are deemed really and fully functional...If i'm not mistaken, the gf3 chip was only available after having gone through four revisions and ATI's radeon 8500 went through even more than that...

So it could be that there's still one or two more revisions left with parhelia before matrox declares it fully functional in every aspect...
        note to self...

Assumption is the mother of all f***ups....

        Primary system :
P4 2.8 ghz,1 gig DDR pc 2700(kingston),Radeon 9700(stock clock),audigy platinum and scsi all the way...

Guru3D tells a story that Microsoft is gonna relase DX9 together with WinXP SE.

WinXP SE is settled for the beginning of 2003. Hope Matox is not waiting that long with there new card.
