What's the matter Pauly your 24" Sony not big enough after squinting at those chips all day/night?

No it's from squinting at 17" monitors at work all day with brand X video cards. They won't let me build my own system like the National Labs did.

maybe whomever did that just modded the previous picture and left that on there so it didn't look like an even bigger "borrowing".

Funny that they would give away all those PC loaded with Matrox cards to their employees, but don't want quality Insideâ„¢

Speak for yourself. My workstation retails for around US$16,000.

Also, Aerons are pricey, but there are a few around the lab. Just about any chair that meets ergonomics requirements costs $500-$1000, standard.

Indeed. My Big Corporate (TM) puts decent (Matrox) cards on our desks... admittedly it is a trading floor (average 2 pcs each, 2 flat screens per PC - you do the maths)!

We can make a lot more money per person than a desk/PC costs.

                      Hmmmm,

I got four LCD's at my desk, but on one PC only. Appian cards, not bad per se, but a tad slow in 2D

                        There will always be exceptions.

I did some work at a post house, and they all had Aerons and SGI Octane and Onyx2 systems.

Heck we even had a full two group pro espresso machine which anyone could use and also lunch and breakfast/snacks were fully provided as part of the job for everyone.

                        Best company in the world.

                        Cheers!

They probably found an Athlon in somebody's box.. that's why.

Bet that guy is now staked out in the desert somewhere being devoured by ants.

Ditto here. That must be why I have put on 4 stone since starting work here... or maybe that is the lack of exercise and sitting at a desk 8 hours a day! Certainly it's perks like that though that keep me from straying too far from this company.
