What is your price breaking point for the high-end gamers card with 128MB memory? Assuming it live up to the hype of being twice as fast as a GF4, how much are you willing to pay?

I think they will launch with a high-end, very expensive professional model, and another one for ordinary people
For that "ordinary" model (without currently knowing the exact details about it) I think I would pay 400 dollars maximum. If it is more expensive, then I can get along with my Marvel G400-TV and G400 MAX for a couple of months longer.

If I had the money, I'd spend MUCH for it - but since I don't have ANY money for computer hardware at the moment (which is not going to change in the next months, I think), I'll not be able to buy it, except if I can get ahold of it for $50- Maybe I can buy one once it's a bit older, but Matrox cards tend to keep their prices high until you can't get them anymore
- Maybe a used or refurbished one someday.. always buying the latest and greatest does only make sense if you really need it - but if you're not willing to look at anything less than VCQ² and want to play some games, I guess you REALLY need P now

The problem we have in the UK is that they seem to exchange the $ sign for a £ and we end up paying far more than we should do. I am happy to pay approx £250, thats approx $350-$400. That is for a card with better dualhead than my G400 and 3d speeds in the range of gf4 ti4200-ti4400. Heck even if it had the 3d of a gf3 it would be an immense improvement over my current card.
I am not really interested in the amount of memory available (64megs would be fine) providing it doesnt affect AA.

MDHome is right - we often over-pay for products here in the UK which is a real p*sser
I must admit that I'd pay up to £400 for a Parhelia but would only pay half as much for an nVidia card with the same performance: I believe the Marketeers would call this "brand loyalty".
Either way, Matrox need to announce this baby this month & ship it in June ( this is very important ) - if they don't, it could be rendered obsolete very quickly. The NV30 is on it's way & none of us want to see Matrox's flagship product (perhaps the best since the original Millennium) superceded before it's had a good run on the market.Consistency is the defence of small minds
