i am willing to spend big money on the P if a passive heatsink will be sufficient. i like my tower quiet. and this will also mean more fun for the overclockers.
and a matrox sticker, i would also like.
    no matrox, no matroxusers.

Even if it has passive HS i'll probably slap a fan on it and overclock the shit out of it.

4x rsn with motion smoothing would be prety cool, but personally i would just like to see a very high quality product building on traditional matrox values with the normal part of innovation that we get

Getting rid of VGA is a stupid idea. almost all our software at the factory is old custom dos stuff.

To update the software to modern stuff would cost several hundred thousand, and would also mean we need faster computers, re-train everybody, and have the downtime as the systems are switched over. It wont happen.

If we had to run under windows, we would probably be un-reliable as well.

I was pissed off enough when the G200 came out and I had to load an app to allow some of the old VESA modes to work.

I already stated what I'm looking for in the Parhelia in another thread, so I'll just copy it over here:
I really DO hope that Matrox have given the Parhelia a few extra 2D / video-functionality as well. I'd like to see a much faster blitter, support for the transparency/alpha FX of WinXP (not that I like it, but I fear we might have to use XP sooner or later). Better Overlay up-/downscaling, support for more than one Overlay at once and of course the best TVOut that's possible is what I would like to see. Maybe even things like hardware OTF deinterlacing, denoising, temporal filtering for playback of bad quality material.

And, of course, decent 3D, multimonitor-support and the best 2D quality out there (esp. hope they're not neglecting the latter with their new strength in the fps-field)
But we named the *dog* Indiana...

Well they must have tested a fuxored G450 cause that certainly doesn't reflect my observations
