I don't know, it may be me, but I don't see anything really new brought to the table in that article. Looks like someone posting up well thought out rhetoric with knowledge gained from other certain websites.

Matrox does not believe in a cat and mouse chase of six or even eight month product cycles which are driven by the desire of a relatively small percentage of the market. This could very well defocus us from providing high quality and robust products to our core customer base. We typically follow longer product cycles for our graphics solutions, both mainstream and professional.

But it's not all about the highest frames per second after all who can tell the difference between 200 FPS and 225? It will also be about the ability to handle more and more complex 2D and 3D calculations to provide the platform for much more visually stunning games.

I think that about says it all.

I was more referring to the journalistic style, not the content. And I like to add that I especially appreciate the text passages Joel is quoting. The author is not some "nVidia-press-release-copier" kind of guy.
