    I asked Haig on the official Matrox Formums:

    14 may release date? and available 1/2 months after?
    totally bull**** or "no comment" ?
    his reply:

    No comment.
    So.... wat do we think of this!

        nice question however regardless of what aig says the clues are everywhere that 14/05/2002 will be the date.
        no matrox, no matroxusers.

          The date for presentation to the world, but maybe not the release date.....

            Maybe you didn't understand my answer, he usually gives the "no comment" answer even if you give him a choice of answers.

            I wouldn't be suprised if this is the release date, but I would of prefered a release date either abit before or after the nvidia and ATI cards come out because they haven't released any details on their new card yet so they could adjust their specs accordingly so that their card beats the Matrox card. If the Matrox card came out a month before their cards then they probably wouldn't have enough time to adjust their card. If Matrox really want to impress they have to be able to beat nvidias new card. There were alot of people who simply do want a nvidia card in their computer and this is where ATI came in and took in some customers, but due to their drivers some people are real pi$$ed off. I would prefer to go with Matrox when i build my new comp but it if nvidia's card is better then I will go with them, the prices will probably be the same as well.
