As a long time ATI user, if Matrox actually comes out with
10bit color (aka 40bit) I'm there, goodbye ATI. As a independent video editor we've all been asking for something beyond 8bit color (aka 32bit). 10bit is the broadcast and DVD standard.

Oh I hope it's true. Might even buy an RT or Digisuite if Matrox makes plug-ins that take advantage of the enhanced color.

                  Got the e-mail too

Time to find a buyer for my GeForce3 Ti200 128mb (to think it's only a month old ) and keep the money I wanted to spend on a G450 PCI (wanted a good backup card, but Pharelia takes priority).
                  Hope I"ll have enough money.

In that case they better implement an extremely efficient bandwith saving technology. But according to nVidia`s "Vice President for Architecture" David Kirk there won`t be tiler technology in NV30 ...

IMHO if they are keepingto a 128 Bit memory bus in combination with brute force rendering, they are running in the wrong direction ...
