        i think he means 3rd quarter of 2002, but we already knew the launch date was the third quarter of this year, didnt we?

                  It’s a piece about directX9 and Matrox being the forerunner when it comes to supporting new features as “Displacement Mapping”, and that it takes 1 to 2 years before mass games will support such features.

                  The attached image is one i’ve seen about a half year ago, as a part of a Matrox presentation about Displacement Mapping.

                  Just a few more days.. then we will see some real stunning pictures ..... i hope

                    Yes, but it sound like the DirectX8 picture all over again....
                    It will take years before we will see the true power of directX 9 hardware..
                    Danm.. Hope the Parhelia also shines in DirectX 8, and not only in new directX 9 features like Displacement Mapping, whatever cool it may be.
                    We don't play tech demos... And we won't see directX 9 games this year and maby not next year.. because there will not be enough directX 9 compatible cards out by the customers..

                    Im still hoping, and having my fingers crossed, that i won't be dissapointed...
