  • The Bigger Countdown Thread!

Well, with Parhelia's upcoming official release, the Crystal Ball forum might tend to loose some sense of purpose, as much of the discussion will surely switch over to the gaming and hardware forums.... With that in mind...

The way I figure it, with Matrox's 3 year cycle for launching a completely new core, May 16, 2005 will the the launch date for the "next big thing."

    So....

    Days to Announcement: 1104

If a bear shits in the woods, and no one is there to smell it, does it stink?

I'm sorry but it will not work. For the real feeling you need desperate MURCers who suffered for a long time
    Probably in 2 years.
    no matrox, no matroxusers.

i think they will use the parhelia core for many future cards, just like the g200 core, so the next-next-gen card might be sooner than that.
the parhelia2 might, just like the g400, be a pretty nice chip, and might be released sooner than one year.
      just my personal guess.
This sig is a shameless atempt to make my post look bigger.

Let's hope not! That is precisely the line of thinking that allows upstarts like nVidia to glom the market. Matrox should be (and probably is) working on the successor to the successor to the Parhelia. No rest for the wicked!
