I've been lurking around here for a little while, so I figured I would post here. I am currently using two monitors in my rig using independent video cards, and probably every day I wish for three things:

1)That my crappy GF2 image quality would be replaced by a Matrox(1600x1200 on my card is painful, and I canot bring myself to run at a lower resolution)
2)That all the goofy issues associated with running dual independent cards on my system would go away.
3)That I had another monitor to slap a few more windows onto.

I want a third monitor anyway. If I have to sell a kidney to get a Parhelia and a third monitor, I'll do it. Even without great 3d it would have been a very attractive option to me. With great 3d performance, it becomes a must-have.

ABC Warehouse and Best Buy recently had 17" monitors on sale for $89 and $99 respectively after rebate. Plenty good for peripheral displays....

Nope. I don't have enough room for three monitors. Even if I did, it wouldn't exactly be cheap, and the heat output from three CRTs would be enormous. Using LCDs can help with the heat problem but most are pretty bad when it comes to gaming.

If I had the money, I'd go with three of those nice new 18" small frame LCDs

As it looks, I'll have to make do without Power in my PC *sniff

I just wish games (excluding flight sims etc) would exploit multi monitor setups more, its great for photoshop (got two running on my g400 max) and wow three *drool* would be vely nice.

this is terrible.. I can see it now, thousands of people seriously injured from turning your heads during extreme gaming action.

the nightmares, wherever you look denizens from ut2003 comming toward you from every direction, no escape..aargghh

I get mouse cramp now...I could possiblebly be crippled in the future, I hope matrox has the 3rd party insurance paid up

and to all the hat eaters out there...MAKE IT A BIG ONE

Could you imagine going to a lan party, with your triplehead setup. I could just see myself trying to carry in 3 - 19" CRTs.
I should have bought an ATI.

I'v got two screens now, a 19 and a 17. If I bought another after paying for a Parhelia, I would need that head casting thingy to keep me company, coz I'm sure my wife would leave me

Anyone know if it gives good head - err casting, coz it might not be a bad idea

                              Cheers Till
