  • When will it be available to buy after 14’?

Well, their track record hasn’t been that good!
But then again they have never announced a new chip like this….
They (Matrox) might have a surprise for us

We should also await the professional line of Parhelia-512 cards. They'll appear for sale in the end of summer, at about the same time as NV30/R300 cards. Matrox product will obviously be competing with them, not the former-generation GeForce4 Ti4600 and especially RADEON 8500. This somehow changes the picture, doesn't it?

MATROX don't have a great track record when it comes to getting things to retail in a hurry. Let's hope that they can do something within a month!

Sadly, I have it on pretty reliable sources (the product manager at a rather well known gaming machine copmpany) that it wont be on sale to the public for about 4 months. And the price point was $429. It might not be true, but we wont know until tomorrow.

Are you referring to Doom III? $429 is more than I'll pay for any game. I think your info is wrong. The hi-end card may still be four months away but I expect the entry level card to be available next month.

So Do I .. and the High-End card isn't made for ordinary ppl anyway.

Nooo. I said gaming machine, not game. I happen to know most of the guys at Alienware and this is where my info is coming from. Since these guys are pretty much one of THE gaming machine company's in the US, I think it's safe to say they probably know about the pricing and such. I do not know anything about different model boards, only the 128MB triple-head card. Suposedly only going to be bundled in their rigs for the first few months, although I find that part hard to beleive.
