Their must be more. I´m missing any comment about bandwidth saving tech and texture compression. I know that a bandwidth of 20 GB/s is more than enough today. But i would like to see more than this.
I am waiting to see what that Parhelia can do with my XP desktop !!! Haig sais it should be surpising !
I am thinking of a 3D desktop ! What do you think ?
I asked Haig about PS2 and he said there are many advantages of using it and we will find out about them tomarrow, in that leak on the russian site it said it uses PS1.3 why would Haig say there are many advantages of using PS2 which we will find out about tomarrow. I don't see Matrox saying our card uses PS1.3 but PS2 has so many more advantages if you know what i mean lol

Long time lurker here
It's propably the Glyph font antialiasing mentioned in the diagram. What I'm interested to know, is that does that work in Linux also? If it does, then this would be my next card, no question about it!
I posted this elsewhere, but I can't find it...anyway...
If you look at the old Japanese footage from GDC where M$ is showing off Displacement Mapping, the 3rd video shows a real-time scene of mountains with clouds rolling by casting a shadow on the displacement mapped mountain. If you look really closely, you can see the program bar on the bottom with ye' old XP Start button. Meaning, that that nice sceen with clouds rolling by the mountain side, with the guy moving the scene around...was the desktop.
Or so I like to tell myself. If that's true, I'm impressed.

There was a title bar above the mountain thing, i dont think it was the desktop, but if it could be, oh my would i be one happy Matroxuser!
I've been thinking about the 0.13 micron process, when a smaller process is used usually the layout of the chip must be completely redesigned, right? so the chances of releasing a 0.13 core are very small. If ps2.0 is used, would that fit in the 0.15 chip without making it too complex? they did leave out the 'standard' T&L engine completely, this would maybe allow them to use ps2.0 and they have just fooled the press?
Any comments are welcome, just writing down all my thoughts...

I like very much what I've heard about the Parhelia so far. My only additional wishes are:
Video In (unfortunately not going to happen, I think)
0.13 um process (will happen, if not at time of release then later)
Pixel Shader 2.0 (probably going to happen?)
Haig says that "there are plenty of advantages of using PS2 which you will find out tomorrow", so I wouldn't be too surprised if it was equipped with PS2.0... Which reminds me, I heard a rumour that Parhelia was to be introduced late last year - but they didn't do that so maybe they redesigned the thing into a 0.13 process?
