well, im quite sure that the game bundle will support either displacement mapping OR surround gaming OR both, as this is the 2 most gaming oriented features on the parhelia.

        and UT2003 supports suround gaming...
but then again so does all the games with adjustable FOV...

westwoods Earth and Beyond supports displacement mapping, but thats an online game which require an monthly fee to be played on the internet, so i don´t think thats going to be in the game bundle, and i don´t know when that would be out.

However i seem to renember the matrox showcased their g400 with expendable (with EMBM), which also made it to the game bundle, and this time matrox shows their parhelia on UT2003 with surrround gaming...

i would say, it might be possible.

As suggested before, maybe it'll come with New World Order from Termite/P3i. But I don't know if NWO will be multiplayer only... If so, they probably won't bundle that either.
By the way, On the Project Three Interactive New World Order forums, there is a (probably not on the NWO team though) person who says:
I just got a confirmation from Dev-Rel at Matrox that I will be getting a beta Parhelia-512 board to test with in mid-June. (Gotta love being in the 3D software biz.. ) I asked if I could get one now and they replied "You would definitely want to wait until we have our next revision of the chip in full swing. It'll be the retail one (or close enough to it), so there's no sense in sending you out a prototype that is slower and less stable than the real thing" So I don't think anyone actually has a board for reviewing. Well not one that represents the final product anyway.

Yeah, I want it in the game bundle too - maybe a Special Edition for Parhelia

Hope we don't get some POS game acting only as a tech demo - rather have OEM than that (take note Matrox, no POS in my Parhelia box ).

UT2003 on a parhelia on an uber-cool monitor, I wonder if they will show UT2003 on one of these monitors.

Tempest, why do you think New World Order will be in the game bundle? have you heard some rumors you would like to share?

I believe alot of alpha-parhelias are among developers by now, so the fact that Termite/P3i don´t get theirs before mid june seems to contradict that they would optimze the game for parhelias, while we on the other hand already KNOW that UT2003(among others) will support surround gaming out of the box.

personally, i think the gamebundle will be made from one of the developers from this list: http://www.matrox.com/mga/products/t...a/dev_supp.pdf

Did id say when Doom 3 is supposed to be out?

UT 2k3 and Doom 3 would be nice.

well i have heard(probably from one the many parhelia-previews)that john carmack from ID have tried doom3 on a parhelia and that it worked, he didn´t commented on the speed though.

                          edit:

With revolutionary features such as Adaptive Tessellation and Displacement Mapping, one can only begin to imagine what sort of games are coming out the door. We briefly talked to John Carmack and while he can’t comment on his thoughts about the Parhelia just yet, he did say that Doom was already running on it. This can only mean that there are games and applications already in the works that support the lavish features of the Parhelia-512 GPU.
