Ouch on the price...what happened to the $400 price point? 550 Euros=$519 USD.
That's right after he installed the drivers and then read the "readme.txt" on the install CD that says "OpenGL wrapper that supports Half-Life and Quake 3 only is expected to be available next year".

Aha! After using some advanced image enhancement software (as seen on TV), I was able to restore the ID marks on the memory...

I couldn't quite tell, but it looked like one of those chips was a Glide emulator too.

Jep, the european price is to high.....
450 EUR would be ok, but 550 EUR is to high....

I write an eMail to Mindfactory AG (I think you know them... http://www.mindfactory.de). Maybe they can say when they expect the cards....
I don't think they have a price yet.

Maybe the price is ok, because the Matrox Shop (http://shopmatrox.com/preOrder/europ..._datasheet.asp)
shows 445,80 EUR. I would say that's ok.
No preorder for European customers...but this may come SOON (tm).

The official announcement is now also online:

                          UK:
                          £278.06

That's not too bad an exchange rate really - Bloomy currently gives me 1.4862 USD to the GBP.

Thankyou for being fair to us Europeans Matrox!

                              don't forget.
all prices at matrox' onlineshop "do not include VAT, Shipping and Handling."
and in ireland (where the european shop is) they have 21% vat!
                              this means 445,80€ + VAT = 539,40€.
                              plus shipping and handling.
so you will have to pay the 550€ they stated in the press-release.
