It's probably all bogus or something, but it's an interesting read nonetheless. http://www.hardforums.com/showthread...hreadid=427743

well, there is absolutely no logical reason to have 128bit color precision(I don´t even think cgi stuff is done with anything more than 64bit precision), so either ATI is doing it because big numbers looks god in the pr-material(highly unlikely), or that guy is wrong.This sig is a shameless atempt to make my post look bigger.

This whole thread should be in General Hardware, but seeing as it isnt, I though I would paste this quote form Anandtech.
Paste:
Finally, x-bit is also offering up some specs on ATi's upcoming .13 micron R300:
.15micron manufacturing technology, the chip will be produced by TSMC;
350Mhz core frequency, 400Mhz+ memory frequency (DDR SDRAM);
8 rendering pipelines with 2 TMUs each (16 TMUs is a DirectX9 requirement);
Peak T&L performance – 150 million triangles per second;
Vertex Shaders 2.06, Pixel Shaders 2.0. Some sources claim there will be 4-pipeline vertex shader;
Full DirectX9 compatibility;
High quality anti-aliasing and new more complex higher order surface support;
HyperZ III;
HydraVision;
Hardware MPEG-1/2/4 and DVD decoding (hardware motion compensation and DCT/IDCT).
Dont you love this bit:

Makes you wonder whos right doesnt it (Although I cant imagine a 350Mhz core clock on .15micron with all those features).

Well, I didn't think the R300 would be released until late October/November, but it seems it's going to make August, so yeah, .13 would be pretty much impossible. Their is also a rumor that it will be a 10-layer board. There was an alpha board that was 10 layers, but that could have changed by now.System Specs:

What can we use TCB for now though? Parhelia 2 speculation? Do you think it'd be better of as a nex-gen crystal ball, rather than Matrox CB.
MHW was polluted by endless G800 crap, is GHW going to get the same with R300/NV57.4?Meet Jasmine.
