no, there probably won't be a revamped core. drivers will improve with time, of course.

    about the AGP Pro version...

looks like ATI seems to have the same idea in mind as what i was thinking... or so it would seem by this picture.

would be cool if matrox did release a 256M AGP pro version as well as a normal retail 256 card.

from all indications the parhelias are limted by the power required to run the core(and cooling).

I think a niche AGP pro version would be well recieved, I don't know how economic it would be for matrox.

Naw... it's what we (bbz) already know that makes reading TCB so difficult (NDA)

The BB's are only playing with the hardware that matrox want's them to play with. They don't no shit about what is really going on. They are like food testers, their opinion is requested but they will never know the ingredients.

What keeps Matrox from making a 256Mb MAX version, the silicon will be better as time go by

Would anybody else care to express their mistaken viewpoints? The BB NDAs exist for a reason.

i don't see why they can't just revamp it into 0.13ยต process, keep the same footprint, and install it into the same card.
it would take less power, which wouldn't be too much of a problem, and i'm pretty sure that the other components were chosen for the 300MHz clockspeed.

There would be no core change, just a smaller die size...

                              is it poss?

Nope... for it to be done on the 130nm process most everything has to be changed. This is a major undertaking and extremely costly.
