    its possible that the 256mb version will be 0.13 micron
    Why? Well Matrox like to keep things running within the agp spec.
    So when you slap another 128mb on the board , then I think it draws a little too much power.

    Maybe the chip itself won't be 0.13 , but maybe the memory chippies

      wouldn't the memory process be farther ahead?
      i.e. in 0.13ยต already?
      the architecture of the memory chips is a lot easier (i think) to design and produce. So, wouldn't this enable them to go to a smaller process b4 the others?
      Less complex layout etc...
