I hope it's a Parhelia 8X instead of a Sundog

I am hoping it is lower priced version with only dual head and incorporating all the fixes that, afaik, were coming to "new revision" (or AGP 8x revision, if you prefer that.)
Matrox desperately needs a card that hooks up some OEMs... they used to be kings of OEM market and that was the good source of income. now the6y don't have competitive mainstream product and as you might have seen, no OEM deals.
so, my wishlist:
3D performance:
- same as original, but small increase is a plus
heads:
- dual head is enough, as long as card has comparable multihead usability as big brother. tv-out is a must feature. SCART RGB out cable and support straight on the box would be really nice
price:
- as low as possible. good starting point would be $150 as ERP.
if's:
- if memory bus is cut in half, hopefully at least 2 TMU's are ripped off per pipe. (4x2)
other fixes:
- all the stuff planned (and incorporated ??) on newer revision chip."Dippadai"

The possibilty to hook at the same time 2 monitors and tv would be ok (and I'm not talking about triple head, I'm talking about dual head - the tv displays content of one of the monitors or perhaps second monitor goes blank when tv out is used).
No more crawling under the desk
Nappe1, imho they'll use old cores...

but you might be right... let's keep expectations low, so that disapointments won't get too big either.

AZ: naah... I just lost my job... no money, no study grants (limit reached), no job, no company to do my graduation work and 6th year starting in 4 year school (polytechnic, software engineering.)
so if matrox fails again, it really does not change much on my case. I am so f*cked up already.
and well, I am hanging here, because this is only place I have some respect left. (propably that's gone after this one too, but who gives damn about that... noone, not even me. I am starting to reach the limit where nothing really matters: whatever I do, I fail.)
of well, maybe that's the way it is ment to be..."Dippadai"

Don't lose hope, Nappe! I'm in a shitty situation, too (though entirely different than yours), and I know I'll get through it one way or another. You will, too! And I don't see how you'd lose any respect with what you posted just now - seems very intelligent and logical to me

hang in there Nappe1...... these are toughtimes and i know exactly how you feel ... i my self am just geting out of the slump....
i clearly understand why you feel like a failiour...... i do too... and it is never a good feeling..... but i have come to the conclousion that i have my dreams and my determination to achive them no mater what..... and that has somewhat keept me from feeling like a total failiur...... try it... it helps... doesnt do miracls but it sometimes helps... especialy if you have good freinds about..... even when you are just virtualy talking (as in here) .... if you are having problems conectimg with people around just keep one thing in mind.. they most likly DO NOT se you as a failiour.... dont be afraid to communicate with them..... after all that is why they are your freinds... and i dont just meen these people who are there but indiferent... i meen those who realy are your freinds.... you will know them when you see them...... and dont contemplate other dredfull things... been there twice and decided its not the way out for me......."They say that dreams are real only as long as they last.
