Lucky you. It was -25C this morning when I woke up. You won't see much snow at that temperature.

Even with that stuff it takes a couple of hours to clear ours. It's about 1.5 acres on a corner lot with two entrances, so lots of side walks plus the driveway is ~60' wide.

Well I just got in from getting my car and my GF car out of the snow...thankfully there was a backhoe in the parking lot that my complex got I'm assuming and once we got the cars unstuck the backhoe did the rest
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

Hehehe.....I've seen something like that a few times myself.

One was back in '76 when we had a big snowstorm plus 60 mph winds in a farm area, meaning all kinds of open fields to generate drifts.

When the National Guard showed up to take my parents to a shelter they arrived in a tank that had a snowplow on its front accompanied by an armored personnel carrier.

They had to exit a 2nd floor window because the snow was 2 feet over the doors

That winter southeastern Michigan had 51 days of lake-effect snow compared to a normal winters 25.

Lake effect snows are when warm water from the Great Lakes evaporates then falls as great quantities of snow when the front comes over land. Typically you end up with snow up to your arse.

This was a real problem in the 70's as many cities around the Great Lakes recorded year after year of record snowfalls. Buffalo New York perhaps had it the worst.

In that decade Buffalo recorded 1,109.8 inches (>92 feet or 2,819 cm) of snow.

We're having the worst drought on record here in Colorado, and these storms just keep missing us.

This one pretty much missed us too. We never get good snowstorms anymore, they all peter out after dumping piles of snow on buffalo . We got about 1/2 inch today from this one. How boring

We had a drought that lasted 5 years out on the East coast but was fixed over the fall with bunch of rain we got. Now we are just adding extra

Living out here in the tropics, I kinda miss snow...probably won't see any for 3 or so years.

You said it wulf. But as of now there's an excess of 2m in the majority of the best alpine resorts!

To bad that I maybe won't have the time to go, a lot of studying to do...
