Unfortunately there speeder photo camera devices (stationary and mobile) are rather common here. The highest fee is 425€, when you drive more than 60 kmh over the limit.

Of course, in the city And on other roads as well (dunno the english name .. on a second thought: "road" may be already what i'm looking for). No limit on most parts of the Autobahn though

I, too, have fallen prey to the "don't get too friendly with other people's kids" disease. I love kids. I find many of them bratty, but I get a real kick out of interacting with children.

Especially since having Logan, I simply find it easy and rewarding to talk to children, say hi, make them smile.

But I don't. Not in public anyway. Everywhere you turn, some poor slob says hi to someone's daughter and goes to jail.

              Not THIS poor slob.

Remember this kid falling of his bike and going with right crash. His parents were some way back seeing that he wasn't too badly hurt I picked his bike up but stood two feet away so they could clearly see there was no contact.
Sad but thats how things are nowadays.

Indeed it's very sad. It's even getting to the point where fathers have to really watch how they interact with their daughters, especially after certain ages. Here in the US at least, we live in a society that likes to talk about being sexually open and such, but because of that we now have become oppressive in the ability of any adult expressing love and such to a child.

Not too long ago a young girl (say a niece) having a crush on her uncle or something was considered cute (generally speaking and up to a point) and it was ok if the uncle dotted (spelling?) on her. Now the uncle would best just ignore the whole situation lest any non-family members, and indeed even family, think odd of the relationship. Kinda like a young girl sitting in her father or other male relative's lap is almost a no-no anymore.

We've become so aware of the sexually perverted nature of a small percentage or our society that we have become almost overly paranoid about the larger percentage who are not. But I guess better safe than sorry.

You know, not to harp, but this attitude really IS a consequence of feminism and the greater "independence" women are supposed to have now. Most of the women who are rabidly overprotective of their children have rejected the father to some degree. Either they are divorced or they have totally wussified their husbands to the degree that they "know" said husbands are too spineless to protect their own children. Now she turns to the state for this protective, fatherly role. It is very important for everyone to have courage in times like these. Gurm, don't stop being friendly to people just because they are children. The very sanity of this world depends upon it. If you did nothing wrong, you did nothing wrong. And, knowing you, you would probably not just shut up and stand there looking guilty as most men have become "trained" to do when faced with a rabid schizophrenic female. (Actually there are fathers like this too, but most of them are the wuss husbands who have been trained to be this way by their wives. John Walsh has an excuse, but thank heaven there aren't as many people who randomly kidnap and murder children as people have been led to believe by his TV show.) This has become a less friendly society because of Feminism and multiculturalism. Yes, that's to blame too. Why? Because there is no common sociological thread anymore. We have no bretheren in society.. it has become "evil" to seek a commonality of culture by forcing immigrants to conform to our own.

Anyhow, things are pretty much ruined in this world if we each can't be expected to show some backbone and have the courage to be friendly with each other. What can we expect those kids to become if they are shown no friendship while growing up? One of them will become President one day and have no remorse or feeling while pushing that little red button and nuking us all.

Not that I agree a 100%, I do think you have a point. As a society we have attempted to overcompensate in some areas, or we've made a bigger issue out of certain situations than was ever there.

For example. Say a child is kidnapped. A few news networks cover the story or they only run a few segments on it. It appears to be one incident as it is. Say instead that every news network covers the story and/or they run multiple segments on it. It appears to be more than one incident or appears to be much more of an issue than it is.

That was obviously an example of "blowing" things out or porportion, but there are other areas that can follow the same example.

This is just a variation on the "all men are evil and only want one thing" theme. A man is supposedly some sort of simplistic creature whose limited brain can appreciate nothing but beer, sports, and sex. There are endless "harmless" jokes on this topic nowadays, and the sad thing is that many stupid bigmouthed men think this is something to be proud of, so they promote the theory and contribute to the problem.

Indeed, if you think about it, IF there is more male attraction to younger girls now, feminism is directly responsible. Why? Would you feel more affection towards some rabid manhater or towards a younger girl who has not been twisted by this sort of thing yet? If women would be women we would not have this problem.
