Colossus? Did I hear my computer name? (and it was named for the supercomputer) My last one was HAL-9000, and when I upgrade this (like to that Onyx 3000), I'm gonna need another psychotic computer name. Any suggestions?

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. Bastard coated bastards with bastard filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive, bubble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine. -- Dr. Perry Cox

I've had Sisyphus (laptop), Neptune (main machine) and Hades (that one was a backup box...kept in a dark place) in the last couple of years.

I myself am looking into more "interesting" names (currently, I have comic-charaters: Calvin, Hobbes, Garfield, ... ). But I feel they should be related more closely (so now I'm thinking mythological figures, or appropriate ones for each computer - e.g. pitou for my PII ).

Anybody know the name of a 2-headed dragon ?

How's about this one: in the Hitch-Hiker's Guide trilogy, there's a supercomputer which built an 'ultimate weapon' to link the cores of all the stars in the galaxy/universe (I forget the details) and cause them all to go supernova simultaneously. The computer built the weapon with a fatal flaw, since it couldn't actually bring itself to build something so destructive, and the warlike race for which the weapon was built destroyed the computer for that reason.

Unfortunately, I've forgotten the computer's name. I think it was Hadrick or something. Anyone know?

It was Hactar. Go to http://flag.blackened.net/dinsdale/dna/book3.html and scroll down to Chapter 24.
