Take a carp out of water and it starts to make strange popping noises. Everytime I have heard it, not once has it ever seemed like they were talking to me. Maybe I havent been listening hard enough.

Yuppers. Being a country boy we did a lot of carp fishing (hook & line and bow & arrow) and heard all manner of grunts, groans and such once they were out of the water.
