"happy friday" - was up for a great friday night out on bristol city in England last night, the night took a few twist which we had'nt planned such as not being allowed into our favourite drinking hole because 6 of our group of 8 were male, we continued to drink until 1 o clock. we go for a taxi and end up with 3 of us looking for a taxi, just about to get into one and 8 drunken thugs dash over saying "thats our taxi". Obviosly out for a fight i say to them take it as there are others approaching, not content with this one pushes me and then takesa swing at me luckily i was ober enough to jump out of the way while he almost fell over, now as there were 2 men and a female in our group i repeatedly said i did not want a fight for a taxi, but he wouldnt take no for an answer, luckily the taxidriver became inpatient and said get in or im leaving so he went home. the point is at the exact same spot a week earlier a group of my fellow students from the floor below me got beaten up there on a 6 thugs against 3 students attack. why can the police not patroll that area?its one step off vigilante patrols where groups of people annoyed with this behaviour get tooled up and wait for these prats because we should not have to live with this on our streets. Rant over the weather was lovely today which more than makes up for it
