I vote that Ant should make a forum here called The Pisser. Move all the war and anti-whatever threads there and let people go at it to their hearts content.

I thought that the Lounge was created to get away from this hatred. Ant has made it clear that those who don't like it, should go elsewhere.

I'm sure I saw Ant expressing his views in one of the threads.
Still despite all the pissing the old soap box and now the new lounge were/are the fastest growing forums.
Perhaps there ought to be a hot topic forum with the warning flame suit required.

I think Ant made it clear that he would not tolerate flame wars and political/religious hatred in the forums. If someone else wants to host their own piss and moan forums with their own hard work and money that is a different story.

Just ignore all those threads as I've started to do. I know my opinions, and I pretty much know most of yours now . And I don't think things are likely to change too much soon, whilst war is still going on. I don't intend to watch any news more than once or twice a week - things are reported so hurredly that the accuracy leaves a lot to be desired at the moment (propaganda arguments aside...).

I think Ant made it clear what he wanted to happen with closing The Soap Box and creating The Lounge. There have been a few heated discussions since, but for the most part I think we've kept it civil and open-minded.

I would humbly sugget that we treat the forums as its intended.... a back room bar for sitting back, watching the world tick by and have a 'bit of crack' with mates....

In the pub, you do, however talk current affairs with your mates... (you groan about the state of the economy, watch your pension evaporate before your eyes, talk footie, watch 'top-tottii'....

I promise that from now on I will stick a warning triangle on any thread I start which might possibly cause offense. Feel free to ignore them....

Personally I feel that there are times and places for things...when Ant made the Lounge it was created because things were getting too war like in many ways in the soap box...if you want to talk about the war, do...great, but do so in a proper place, not where people come to "get away form it all"...my feelings on the subject anyway...
