Very interesting, indeed. Kind of the modern grung-rock, with a touch of techno for instrumentals and a nice female vocal. A modern band with a real vocalist. Who'd a thunk.

It's nice that they have the entire album on the site to sample

I couldn't decide whether or not to buy the album, so I found a few tracks online.

Vocals, choice of instruments, lyrics are all pretty good. The harmonies and overall instrument use are too simple, stopping them from being a good band.

over all pretty good she's got a nice voice for the kind of music that she sings and the music is pretty good also, might be worth one CD.

I agree a lot of it is simplified but that doesn't mean it's not great music. I personally think it is pretty good, not just good She could really do something with that voice of hers.

Yeah, she's got a great voice, but I can't really listen to Evanescence without thinking of the bands that I know must have been their influences/heritage, and what a shame it is that they didn't quite make it to that echelon.

They do sound pretty good, but the pity is that they were so close to sounding excellent.

They remind me quite a bit of Queensryche. Not bad...

Yeah. It's kinda like "Garbage meets ..."

                    LOL.

I did a double-take when I saw the album cover, for a minute I thought it WAS Garbage, or at least their lead singer.

Good stuff. A little more electronic to mix things up may be nice, but they have a good sound...the contrast of her and his voice is nice.

Yeah, but that, and almost everything else they do, is just borrows. The music is kind of like Mentallo & the Fixer + Garbage + some other bands I know.

But Wombat, if you like it, then who cares :shrugs: My thought is, if you like it, then who cares what band(s) it sounds like. Do you like it?

I kind of crossed it with Fiona Apple, Linkin Park, and some other band I can't think of the name right now.

I almost like it enough to buy. Almost.

I bought it. Had to, I'm a sucker for chicks with good voices accompanied by wailing guitar. It's just how I'm wired.

Speaking of Fiona Apple - now there's a one-hit wonder that thankfully died along with the entire "Heroin is cool" thing.
