Anyone use voice recognition? I've been using IBM systems for about 12 years. I don't use it all the time but when I have long reports, I tend to go for it. On a good day, I can get 98++% accuracy. It will type, "Please write to Mr Wright right away to tell him two o'clock is too late" and suchlike correctly, because it chooses the most likely homophonic word according to the context. In this case, it expects a verb after Please at the start of a sentence and a name after Mr and so on.

I had a stroke which paralysed my right hand last year and it was really valuable for the first couple of months. However the keyboard and mouse were also excellent physiotherapy for my hand and I now have full movement restored, although it is still weak and slow, with occasional spastic movements. I would guess my typing accuracy is about the same as dictating, but with a different kind of errors.

Hey nowhere, I used the same code!

To those that can't figure it out, nowhere's post said "To me it sometimes happen to push the keys next to the keys I wanted while typing some sentence. "

                  Now what did mine say?

Edit: Oops left out your smilie at the end

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. Bastard coated bastards with bastard filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive, bubble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine. -- Dr. Perry Cox
