Does anyone know a good unziping utility for a *.rar file...apparently WinZip 8.1 doesn't support this file format, I had found one, but unfortunatly it only works with win 95 jclick or something to that effect i think it was called...any ideas welcome...thanx

Despite its HIDEOUS interface and HORRIFYING slowness at certain operations, I'm beginning to think WinRAR is a GREAT program. I haven't even installed WinACE in forever and a day, and if WinRAR could get their shell integration to the same pretty state as WinZIP, I'd use it exclusively.

WTF is with rar, i noticed some archives cannot be dearchived by RAR.EXE I keep arround, I had to install winrar, and I keep stuffit arround because of stupid mac users.

Like I said, command prompt ARJ/ARJ32 is much more powerful than winzip (when you want to split files in multiple archives.

Oh this brings me back to the good old DOS days where you'd compress stuff because you were constantly running out of space. I remember using both zip lhz and arj without ever really finding out why I needed 3 utilities for the same job
