P.S.: Self-made avatar? I'm currently thinking if I should start studying media design (bachelor of arts/science). It's partly arts (with emphasis on practical use, computers, interfaces etc.), partly IT, and partly social sciences. I think this might have been something for you. Only takes 6 semesters, too. They plan to offer a master's course as an option after that.

I like a modern graphical look and exotic camera angles, but I hate the "brains-off" style they're pushing these days... Even TV news and documentaries have become like music videos, showing two-second clips of different scenes in fear that the audience might become bored. There's probably no way back, but that's one thing I'd like to influence... I want more depth.

Yes, Media Design does sound pretty good - thought of you when I saw it actually

I'm just worried I might not make it in - they require 15-20 works of art, plus a kind of test - and the course is limited to 25 people!
