Well, you know that piece by Mozart, "Eine Kleine Nacktmusik"?

It translates best as "A Little Bare-Assed Nekkid Music."

alright, so my sense of humor has become violently twisted.. sue me!

They generally mean the same thing (no clothes), but "nude" is generally just about having no clothes, like nudist colonies, or nude art. "Naked" can expand to any feeling of vulnerability (people feel naked, they never feel nude). Naked also has a rarely used meaning that implies being unchanged from the form of nature's creation, au natural.

And if you want to get into slang, "naked" is for having no clothes, and "nekkid" is for getting it on

Thank you for the elaborate explanation Wombat. That's exactly the kind of Information I like

KvH, actually (don't know if you don't know this or if it was just a joke) the piece is called "Eine kleine Nachtmusik", which roughly translates to "a little piece of night music"

No, no.. you're thinking of Wolfgang Mozart. I was talking about "Liesure suit" Larry Mozart. He's the one who wrote all that cheesy plucked-electric bass music for those 70s pornos.

I just heard the weather report on the news...we're suppose to be getting "another round" of tornadic weather here, somewhat similar to sundaynight's tornados, later tonight... hopefully it'll stay well south of me...

~34 °C here today...that beats even Cyprus from couple days ago...

it's only first half of Mai and I can't stand the heat already...I think I'll move far north someday...

Lemme see, same time last week 23 degrees C, today -5 degrees and 40 cm of brand new snow! Believe it or not I had a tee time for 0800 hours today! Even for a Canadian, this is getting to be a little much!

Going out to start the damn snow blower!!!

Sorry, Nowhere, it was 35 deg yesterday and promises higher today: and this is an island where the climate is supposed to be moderated by the sea! About 10 days ago, we were about 11 deg C and the sudden onset of heat has taken us a little by surprise. Guess "sumer has icome in, already!"

well...I've wrote "~" only because I'm not 100% sure about the last thing I've spotted...the last time I checked temperature (when I've got back from...somewhere ) the sun rays were just starting to sweep termometer...and it was little more than 35...

anyway, I hope that this won't happen today - either some air from west came, or sun yesterday sucked whole water from ground (it was...little dusty when minutes after sunset huge wind started)...and there are some clouds...

I want to be able to function!

p.s. I'm curious about what happened at your place...dry air from far south? from some other place maybe?

We are in the middle of a huge anticyclone and it stays like this, with high pressure, for most of the summer, with little wind (the annual average, including the winter storms) is about 3 m/s in the low areas in the centre of the island. This is why wind farm generation is impossible here.

Happily, our hot weather (frequently > 45 deg C in late July, early August for a few days) is very dry (25 - 30% RH), so is not too unbearable. However, three cheers for aircon!

In the Spring, we get wind-borne dust from N. Africa, accompanied by dry warmth, typically 2 or 3 times per year.
