I guarantee that was done to keep someone from making a "cutscenes of Enter the Matrix" VideoCD and popping it onto KaZaA.

Yeah. Bastards. I had to find all 4 CDs because of that.
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.
I did find a link to the company that created the .adx files. They created an API that helps Audio and video sync better for FMV inside of video games.
I also got a lot of the clipping on my Parhelia, and also twice it's crashed to the desktop (though I think that one is a fault of my own, since my CPU was rather hot. See the PC quieting and cooling thread.....)

Wah! Wah!
In a perfect world... spammers would get caught, go to jail, and share a cell with many men who have enlarged their penises, taken Viagra and are looking for a new relationship.
OK, I watched the movie yesterday. I decided not to try and see what it was really about but just enjoy the images.
I think there is only one matrix. I don't think you can get out of it. The awakening in #1 of Neo is simply an isomorph for "enlightentment". Neo ejoys this again in #2, which is why he can now stop sentinels on this higher "level" as well. But it is all one big matrix/dream/fantasy/system/creation or whatever.
Regardless, I think #3 will be a dissapointment. EIther they do not tie things up, or they do by making some arbitrary decision on how things are. I do not expect them to find better answers than scholars have to date.

Yes, that is the sad part - they are catering to the average mentality of the moviegoing public, so the ending is bound to disappoint.
But it just came out on IMAX widescreen, so I'm off to see it again... MUHAHAHAHA!
.......
So on another topic - why, do you think, did they purposely get this thing rated R? I mean, the ONLY reason it's R-Rated was the gratuitous insertion of the F-word and a couple nipple shots. They added NOTHING to the movie, which means that the Brothers W. _wanted_ it to be rated R. Why? It automatically loses them easily HALF of their in-theater revenue by being rated R.

First off, screw you ya bastard, you get to watch on an IMAX screen, lucky sonnava.... hope you enjoy it.
Secondly, if they made into an R rated flic, then it's obvious they weren't too worried about making extra money. They probably wanted to keep a mature audience, people who would actually understand the story on a deeper level.... shooting in the dark here.
Titanium is the new bling!
(you heard from me first!)
They wanted to avoid 8-year old kids spoiling the plot on a couple of fora?

Nah. The plot was ripped apart within 10 minutes of midnight when it was released. Fanboys are fanboys, regardless of age.
All it did was piss off a lot of teenagers who had to actually get their parents to come WITH them to see the movie. My theater was full of them when we went - the funniest was the dad who obviously was into the film himself, and was REALLY pissed when his two teenage daughters interrupted the previews to make him come out and vouch for them so they could get back in after going to the concession.

Sry, did not mean the "plot", I mean, there realy isn't a "plot" to M.Rel., is there?
I meant all 8-year olds would probably have a decent, coherent and consistent explanation of the matrix universe.

Gurm, those things did lock in an R-rating, but I think it would have happened anyway. The keymaker was shot full of holes, the way they trapped the twin's arm in the door and shot that, and Bane carving himself up weren't exactly PG-13.

I dunno. Lord of the Rings, despite being scary, gory, and whatnot... garnered a PG-13.
I think it would have been PG-13, or could have been without sacrificing anything.

I definitly think that the majority of movies nowdays has a too LOW age rating
