      Wulfman, viertel zwei is the same as viertel nach eins, or 1:15. It's used in germany, too, by the same people who use dreiviertel zwei

          that's the funny part: everybody is familiar with the 3/4 term, but quite a lot of people (especially if they are not from vienna) get confused with that one....

          cjolley: viertel nach zwei (quarter past 2) would indicate 2:15, so it is not that difficult.
