I would still get screwed
Just saw the movie yesterday, it was alot better than the first one, which was a decent movie to start with. Plenty of *snick*AAHHHHH*snick* action, and some nice, old fashioned gruesome deaths.
It is a good thing Magneto never figures out that water (and many other things too) is diamagnetic, I.E. that it is repelled by magnetic fields. I've seen videos of experiments where they levitated live insects and small frogs without harm by using a very strong magnetic field in a tube. And I didn't think it was very likely that Prof. X would walk (err, roll) so easily into a trap like he did.
Well, it all depends
"Old" Magneto wasn't nearly as powerful (about the same lvls as in the movies) before he was turned into a child by Mutant Alpha and later Aged to his prime by Erik the Red (an alias he later used him self )
But after that he got strong enough to defeat (the then inhibited) Phoenix, stand up to being hit repeatedly in the face by Collosus

Hey, he's a young Pyro - he'll get better at it later.
