Hey guys. Just thought I'd update you all on a topic from a few months ago. I posted in one of drslump's threads here about some goings on in my life. Well, I have very good news. I'm now officially going out with the girl I mentioned in that thread 
We went to Cedar Point in Ohio together this weekend (long weekend in canada) to ride the new Top Thrill Dragster roller coaster. It currently holds the record for speed, overall height, and vertical drop. Check the stats on that bad boy. 0-120mph in 4 seconds, then it goes straight up 420 feet, then straight back down. Kicks ass. It was having technical difficulties when we were there, and was busy to begin with, so we ended up waiting in line for, get this, 5 hours and 40 minutes!!! The last hour we were on the platform in a freezing cold breeze, third in line to get on. Even after that fiasco, the ride made up for it. What an amazing rush. It was so fast, it seemed unreal. I can't imagine what a real top fuel dragster would feel like, since they currently go nearly 3 times that fast in the same 4 seconds. That must hurt like hell.
Anyway, the good thing about the long wait in the freezing cold is, of course, shared body heat That was basically the trigger, even though it turns out she's been wanting to hook up with me for several weeks now. We've both been kind of resisting, since it'll be quite complicated at work, but what the hell. How could we let an opportunity like this pass us by? Needless to say, the rest of the weekend was also quite thrilling, even though there were no more roller coasters involved 
I'm not saying there won't be hurdles either. First of all, I'm 14 inches taller than her. Not a terribly big deal, but it'll make dancing pretty awkward. Good thing neither of us likes to dance much. Second, I'm white, and she is Chinese. That's not a problem for us, but it probably will be for her parents. She says they will definitely not approve of me. Her mother doesn't speak english, so I wont even be able to talk to her. Again, not a huge deal, since I'm not dating her parents and they have no control over her anymore, but it's a shame that there's a good chance they'll never accept me.
Anyway, just thought I'd let you know that my life is picking up. After the breakup in January, and the theft of my laptop and digicam in february, I was pretty depressed. Now I'm feeling better than I have in a very long long time. Yay me!
