I must say the picture of his humanity does appeal to me.

I dont agree with Iraq (obviously), didnt with his tax cut/trickle economy boosts, didnt with his blind acceptence of current strategic thinking from Rumsfelt et al

    but

    his personal magnetism and
his evolution of targetted medicare (rather than revolution attemped and failed by Hillary) and
some of his domestic decisions have warmed me to the man...

Some of you might get a kick out of this

Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

Yeah. This really doesn't look like a genuine presidential gaff. He got on, fell, got back on, and road off.

Still, he should have had Dick Cheney test that thing before he got on it.

Actually I think he should stay as far away from Dick Cheney as he can. Cheney may even have sabotaged that thing so he could get the hop up to Pres.

The main thing is that GW "got back on the horse that threw him." I don't think GW is a bad guy, he's just caught up in a role and with people that aren't right for him. Or maybe it's a Parkinson's Law thing.
How can you possibly take anything seriously?

              On the segway-topic:
BBC, News, BBC News, news online, world, uk, international, foreign, british, online, service

I liked this column, mainly because of some expressions used (e.g. the author didn't go "AirForce One" on IT )

Must be kind of annoying, that even a minor fall from a Segway is shown in the global media...

What I want to know is, will dogs attack the tyres like they do with other wheeled vehicles?
