In rare cases vaccination can have permanent consequences for some people.

WRT to natural birth: Today's hospitals are moving to that direction. It's different than 20 years ago.

Yes, I think that they need to be more discriminating and develop safer methods for vaccines. But frankly, the risk:benefit analysis always falls in favor of the vaccine.

1 in 1000 people gets sick from the MMR vaccine. 1 in 1000 of THOSE people gets sick enough to maybe die. So yes, a few kids out of a million each year get REAL sick from the MMR vaccine.

Measles KILLS PEOPLE. If you don't have the vaccine, and you're exposed (and we're ALL exposed) you will DIE. Mumps is even worse!

We talked it over with our doctors. Everything was voluntary. And I'm glad Logan got all his vaccines.

I wish they still did the smallpox vaccine and the polio vaccine. I know I got the Polio vaccine, but Logan sure didn't - and probably won't. And Polio is some scary shit.

Some of these diseases are SUPER scary. People forget how scary they are because nobody gets them... BECAUSE THERE'S A VACCINE.

My girlfriend's neighbour was perfectly healthy until she was 6 years old (I think it was 6.. dunno). Then a vaccination made her VERY sick: She needs a wheelchair now, can't speak, cries and shouts all day, and needs help all her life.

Stuff like that can really scare you of vaccination.

Yeah people should be more informed of the potential risks, but at the end of the day my kids are gonna have it.

Having an ultrasound is NOT essential to a healthy pregnancy. However, most doctors are trained to use expensive technology and NOT trained to use hands-on skills.

Before you allow an ultrasound to be done on you, do some research, thoroughly question your healthcare provider about safety as well as the value of the information that would be received. Don't be afraid to refuse the test if you are not comfortable with the information you have discovered. It is your constitutional right to refuse any tests you do not want.

To give you some means of comparison, I offer this analogy. Have you seen a woman with an extremely high voice break a glass by singing an extremely high pitched note? That is an example of what just ONE relatively slow sound wave can do. Ultrasound technology is based upon ultra high-frequency sound waves, which bombard the child in the womb at an extremely high rate of speed. If one slow sound wave from a woman's voice can break a glass, what can super high frequency sound waves do to your child? Ultrasound waves in laboratory experiments have been known to damage chromosomes, produce internal cellular heat which damages cells, retard the normal development of cells, and many other phenomenon.

If you are stupid and hurting yourself - well that's one thing (that is OK with me), but parents certainly DO NOT have the right to damage the health of your children. About the same goes for blood tests.

There are quite some deseases that can be found out early and - while leading to catastrophic damages the the newborn when not treated - don't have big adverse effects to the child when they're treated early enough (and this means: while the child still resides in the mothers body).

The same goes for mothers that keep strict vegetarian nourishment while pregnant,because they're on a stupid greenish trip and then wonder when their children are born with severe brain damages. I would even think about putting those "mothers" on court for deliberate damaging of their children. The brain definitely needs Folsäure and Vit. B12 (in the development even more than afterwards) and you simply do not get enough of those on a strict vegetarian or even vegan diet.
