I for one love Blizzard games. Yeah some of them are very simple to play, ala Diablo's click fest, but it gives the game a wider appeal. I know lots of wives and girlfriends that will sit down and play Diablo 2 with the men because of the simplistic play and all the pretty items they can pick up.

As for Blizzard RTS games, they are all top notch fun. Sure you need to be a good micro-manager to play them well, but you need to do that with any good RTS. If you don't like it, you don't got to play it.

If I got my internet in at home by this weekend I may join you guys for a little SW/BW action. I'll just need to remember how to play it.

I read about that on Diablo2.de. It's sad and I really wonder if Diablo 3 will ever be released...
IMO Diablo 1 and 2 (including Lord of Destruction) are great games.
What about WarCraft III (or maybe Diablo 2: LoD, Counter-Strike, Need for Speed 6, Battlefield 1942 ) online? I'd like to play against/with some MURCers .
      P.S: Sorry, but I don't have UT 2003 (only the demo) .

Will have to find my copy of Starcraft if we can actually get some games going. Like Jammrock though, I'm gonna have to remember how to play.

Count me in for some SC/BW action! I've been playing it with my co-workers for months now. Terran all the way...

Brood Wars still haunts me. No matter what I did, I simply could NOT beat that last level!! I tried umpteen times and got smacked down hard every friggin time.

StarCraft was excellent, but if SC2 ever comes out it will suck simply because it will have to be 3D (god I hate that). EVERY new RTS game HAS to be 3D; they just can't stick with that nice 3/4 isometric perspective that StarCraft had, and thats a damn shame. WC3 sucked! 3D RTSs suck! I hate paying more attention to playing with my F'ing camera angles than I do to my towns/units!! I'd take an updated version of StarCraft sans 3D ANY day.

Damn bastards...I'll have to find a copy of SC to buy so I can play with you all!

(I've bought UT and UT2K3, but I don't have a fast enough connection)

There's an SC/BW bundle for like 15 EUR out there

For those who don't have SC and want to play with erm... "trial versions", just buy it. It'll be hard to find a key that works on battle.net, the game is cheap, great, and every half-serious gamer should have it

If that Terran defense includes a group of battlecruisers, even 200 zerglings would be toast.

Anyhow, no matter what race you like, if you have a dark archon, they can all be yours! Bwahahahaha!

Yeah, it's fun if you can snag a drone of SCV. Having two races at your disposal can be handy. Teleporting in an ultralisk drop, zealots w/ dark swarm But truly amazing: Carriers with Devourers!

Not to mention having Protoss repaired with SCVs and medics.

Or, be a pain in the ass. On team games, Join up with Terrans, and let them get all the res. Then you just control a couple dozen bc's. The game really starts to slow down though with that many units.

Not with dark swarm. And if 200 doesn't work, 400 is just plain fun

Diablo I and Warcraft 2 are still my most favorite. Anno 1602 and AOE were not bad either.
In Diablo 2 I missed the feeling of shock, terror and cold sweat. I was truely dispointed. I have to say that I don't like Warcraft 3 because I don't like artificial machines playing main roles in a game. Of course it's personal preference. I know many who love Wc3.

I find most of the 2nd generation of games can't catch the glamour of the first generation. Warcraft 2 was a very seldom exception.

Since about two years I've played much less games, not only because I'm older and my computer is too slow. There are simply not that many nice games to play. The days are over, as I played just weeks of one game and could not leave the computer alone. I don't like 3D games. So games which aquire 3D accelerators are meaningless to me. But nice 2D games are rare now.
