I will, I will. He had a very nasty case of jaundice, to the point that they threatened blood transfusion if his bilirubin levels didn't drop quickly with phototherapy, and just got back from the hospital again today. I'll see about posting some tomorrow ... or tonight since I have internet access from home these days

Too bad you live in Michigan, Doc. He's so cute you'd be forced to spoil him like your own grandson.

      Picture Time!!!

I haven't really had a whole lot of fantastic photo ops since he's been in the hospital so much, but here are some decent ones.

Hope you enjoy! I'll try and get more later.

I can see he's a cute little bundle from here, but there's just no way I could spoil him as much as I do Brennen and Kaden. I've taken that to a whole new level

I see the problem Jammy. He's obviously not done yet! Put him back in for another month or two until he's plump.

Yeah, Javan kind of threw everything out of whack in the birth weight department.

                  Me: 10 lbs 8.5 oz.
                  Wife 9 lbs

                  Javan: 5 lbs 8.4 oz ???

It certainly made the whole birthing process a lot easier for the wife though.

I'm with you on that. Both ours were ~5lb 8 oz. When looking at the 12.5lb baby in the next cot we both winced! They were super-quick too, born less than an hour from getting to the hospital.

Can I ask where the name Javan comes from and why you chose it? I haven't heard of it before.

Javan came out with about an hour of pushing, but hard labor was significantly longer. About 10-11 hours. Epiderals are my friend.

Javan comes from the Bible, Genesis (First Book of Moses, for some foriegn language copies) chapter 10 verse 2. It's one of those "and so-and-so was the son of what's-his-bucket, who had 480 sons named ...." areas that most people skip over. I was skimming through it several years back and caught the name Javan. I just really, really liked it. It's very uncommon, which gives it great points, and sounds pretty cool.

The traditional pronunciation for Javan is: Jay-ven.

We however pronounce it my way, heavily Americanized, as: Jah-ven

The name is obviously Hebrew in origin, but the meaning of the name has been lost. Javan was the son of Japeth, the son of Noah. I read somewhere that Javan was thought to be the founder of the Greece, but who knows. And that's all that is known about the name to my knowledge.

In Hebrew, Javan actually means "Greece".

Anyway, Doc - your clan ain't got nothin' on Logan.
