Well, I don't call that often, and like the benefits of a mobile... My internet is through my office (I go there
), so I currently deal without land-line (didn't need to give one up either). Basically, the subscription for having a landline + calls is about covered when considering the slightly added use of my cellphone.
Might opt for broadband, but that doens't require a landline (if you go through cable in stead of DSL).

I have both, as my cable land-line is only $11/mo. with unlimited local calls ('local' is debatable, of course). Trix and I each have a mobile phone -- $30/mo. each for a crappy 250/250 (free LD), but Sprint does throw in an hour of free land-line long distance also.
I take my mobile with me everywhere, just conviently "didn't hear it" if it ever comes in question. Plus, my phone is the only form of timepiece that I carry, and I need to know how late I am going to be before I get there.Buckaroo, the President's on line 1, calling about is everything okay with the alien space bomb and Planet Ten, or should we just go ahead and destroy Russia?
